House Flipper 2 was announced in the "2 FOR U" live stream in February 2022. It is a "from the ground up" rebuild of the original House Flipper game with lots of new and re-worked mechanics. House Flipper 2 was released on Thursday, December 14th 2023 on PC, and on consoles almost 4 months later on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024.
Backstory[]
House Flipper 2 is set in a fictional American seaside town called Pinnacove. As discussed in the first development log, Pinna is a direct translation to Italian of the word "Flipper" (even if the intended meaning may be lost in translation!) and there are Italian references in the history, and people of the town.
The career mode story begins when you have just moved back to Pinnacove after having been away traveling. You begin in your parents house which they leave to you after deciding to move to Moonrise Bay. The house is in a state of disrepair but it is down to you to choose to clean and renovate it.
Soon after waking up and getting out of bed, your friend Tom Marino calls to follow up on a message you left him in your search for (house renovation) work. After discussing the community center Tom emails you the brief for the first job in the game: Raccoon trouble.

Item assembly[]
Assembly is a separate mini-game in HF2, and not included in regular gameplay. The player can complete assembly challenges to receive a discount on similar items in the store. This change was made both for performance reasons, and feedback from players on the original game. Item assembly can be found in the tablet.

Buyers[]
Most HF2 buyers are randomly generated each time you go to sell the house and have no specific requests. However as of 1.5.0, special "collectible" buyers have a chance of appearing at auction if certain hidden requirements are fulfilled - similar to HF1 - and selling to them will unlock them in the "Buyers" tab. Only 1 buyer will initially appear at auction, and can be increased to 3 buyers using perks.

Sandbox mode[]
Sandbox mode allows you to build houses from scratch with extra tools, an infinite budget, the power of flight, and more customiseable items - including landscaping tools, damaged surfaces and quest items. Jobs and houses that created in sandbox mode can be exported and uploaded to https://mod.io/g/hf2 to share with other players of House Flipper 2.
